The ProstataZentrum Nord West in Germany is specialized on treating prostate cancer with minimally invasive robot-assisted technology called da Vinci system by Intuitive. Founded in 2004 and certified since 2010, the ProstataZentrum Nord West has become the most important prostate center in the world within just a few years. More than 1,500 robot-assisted surgeries have been performed by the team of Dr. Ing. med. Jörn H. Witt, Chief Physician of the Urology Department at the St. Antonius Hospital Gronau, conveniently located to airports like Amsterdam or Düsseldorf. The staff is fluent in English.

The da Vinci system was developed in the 1980s by US medical technology experts from the US Army. The robot should make it possible for surgeons to operate remotely in crisis areas. A short time later, this system triumphed in civilian use: in 2008, 77 percent of all prostatectomy procedures in the US were performed with the da Vinci system and is now used on a worldwide basis.
Even if we are talking about the same disease, each person is different, therefore we develop right from the beginning an individual treatment plan. The typical course of treatment is performed within only one week. The treatment consists of the actual procedure, blood tests and physiotherapy, as well as psycho-oncological consultation and nutritional advice.
